YWAM International

Youth With a Mission is an international and inter-denominational mission organisation.

In 1960 a young man, named Loren Cunningham, received a vision about waves of young people going into all the continents of the world bringing the message of salvation to all people. Loren and his wife started out by taking teams to the Caribbean and saw lives and villages changed. Fifty years later, YWAM is one of the largest mission organisations in the world with almost 20,000 full-time volunteer staff and many more short-term volunteers working in 1200 locations in 173 nations with a vision to bring hope and a future to a world in need. The ministry focus of YWAM is evangelism, training and mercy ministry that weaves into everything YWAM does. YWAM’s motto is “to know God, and to make Him known”.
